WHAT IS THIS PRODUCT?
The Doorway Floor Strips are designed to help prevent some people with dementia from entering or leaving a room. Some people with dementia will not pass a black area on the floor.
The product is in a pack containing the following components, and you can use whichever fixing method is suitable for your floor surface:
- 3 thin black non-slip rubber strips, each 35.5″ long
- 3 lengths of sticky-backed hook & loop tape for fixing to carpet floors
- 3 lengths of double sided sticky dots for fixing to hard floor surfaces such as wood or tiles
The Doorway Floor Strips product may be considered a form of restraint, so seek approval if necessary.

WHO IS THIS PRODUCT SUITABLE FOR?
The Doorway Floor Strips are suitable to use to remind someone not to step on or over them, to help prevent them from entering a different room.
BRIEF INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Fold back the Loop Tape from the Hook Tape at both ends. Remove the Hook & Loop Dot and stick them on each side of the door frame about shoulder height. Fold back Loop Tape and place Hook section on Hook & Loop Dot on door-frame. When using on narrower doorways, the Hook & Loop Tape Dots that are stuck to the doorway can go higher up the frame so the webbing loops down to waist level and by putting twists in the webbing it will be more noticeable to some Patients.
WHAT IS THIS PRODUCT MADE FROM?
Sticky-backed rubber.
WARNING
The non-slip rubber material we use is 0.06″ thick at the edge. Ensure this product is used flat so that it will not be a tripping hazard.
