ABOUT THIS PRODUCT
The Bed Rail Protectors – Strap, On, goes over the side rails of a bed. The soft foam offers protection from injury if the person in bed kicks or hits out at the rails. It flaps over the top of the bed rail and is open on the sides. If the person puts their leg or arm over the top of rail, this flap folds over the top of the metal bar to give protection.
Confused patients may benefit from using this product. They may be at risk of bed rail entrapment. They may also hurt themselves by hitting the bed rails or getting arms, legs, head, etc. stuck in the rails.
The inside material near the patient is a beige vinyl which can be wiped clean. The specially made wipeable cover helps protect against urine, feces, vomit, blood, etc. You can remove the cover for washing. Generally you can wipe it clean. It is hard-wearing and long lasting.
WHO SHOULD USE THIS PRODUCT?
This product may help people who may be at risk of entrapment in the bed rails. Entrapment may include getting their arm, leg or possibly their head caught in the rails.
HOW TO USE THIS PRODUCT
Place the product over the top of the bed rails. Attach the Hook & Loop Tape and strap buckles.
