ABOUT THIS PRODUCT
The Bed Rail Protector – Clear allows the patient to see the room while lying in bed. The transparent design may help reduce feelings of confinement compared to traditional foam-padded Bed Rail Protectors – Slip Over. It may also assist carers in monitoring the patient more easily, including the position of their head, hands, and feet.
This visibility can help reduce the risk of the patient becoming pressed against the bed rails or experiencing entrapment.
Some patients may become visually stimulated or distracted by the clear panels and attempt to reach outside the bed area. If this is likely, consider the foam-padded Bed Rail Protectors – Slip Over instead.
A foam section is fitted over the top rail to help protect arms and legs that may be placed over the rail. The main panel is clear plastic, which maintains visibility while still providing an anti-entrapment barrier.
WHO SHOULD USE THIS PRODUCT?
This product may assist people who are at risk of entrapment in bed rails. Entrapment risks may include an arm, leg, or head becoming caught in the rails.
HOW TO USE THIS PRODUCT
Place the protector over the top rail of the bed rail with the buckle straps positioned on the outside. Tuck the clear panel down between the mattress and the bed rail. Thread the webbing under the lower rail and secure, maintaining tension while fastening.
When lowering the bed rails, the protector may be left in place in some cases. However, it is generally easier to remove it before lowering the rails.

Note: The video demonstration shows an older version of this product with four buckles. The current design uses three buckles to improve ease of fitting.
