ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

The Stocking Slider – Open End is used to assist in applying compression stockings to a leg or arm. Compression stockings are designed to fit firmly, and applying them without assistance can be difficult. The Stocking Slider – Open End is made from a strong, low-friction material. A key benefit is that when handling the stocking, contact is made with the slider material rather than directly against the patient’s skin.

WHO SHOULD USE THIS PRODUCT?

The Stocking Slider – Open End is suitable for assisting with the application of tight-fitting open-toe compression stockings, such as TED stockings, on legs or arms.

HOW TO USE THIS PRODUCT

  1. Prepare the Stocking Slider by tucking it inside itself.
  2. Place the Stocking Slider over the foot, ankle, and lower leg (or arm).
  3. Apply the compression stocking over the Stocking Slider.
  4. Once the stocking is fully positioned on the limb, pull the Stocking Slider end loop away from the foot.
  5. Continue pulling until the Stocking Slider is completely removed. Fold it back into itself for reuse.

When removing from an arm, either pull the end loop directly or loop it over a door handle for assistance.
