ABOUT THIS PRODUCT
The Chair Transfer Slip-In Lifter is made from strong synthetic material designed to be positioned beneath a seated person. Webbing is used to form the lifting handles.
The Chair Transfer Slip-In Lifter can assist with transfers in and out of vehicles, as the person can be positioned sideways initially and then rotated to face forward once seated in the car seat.
WHO SHOULD USE THIS PRODUCT?
Suitable for people who require assistance when standing up from a chair or during seated transfers.
HOW TO USE THIS PRODUCT
Hold the webbing handles on either side of the device and ask the person to lean forward. The carer stands beside the person and, holding the handles close to the material, slides the device underneath the seated person.
During transfer, a single carer may stand in front of the person and use the handles to assist moving the person forward in the chair.
The carer then stands and maintains control using the handles close to their body, ensuring support is provided through the legs; the arms are used only to keep the person close to the carer.
