    ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

This is a comfortable, padded sling designed to remain underneath the user while seated.

The Hammock with Chair Pad Sling is the same as the Chair Pad. It is manufactured with a strong, washable, breathable foam backing and a specialized upper fabric containing micro-holes that allow perspiration to pass through to the breathable foam layer.

    WHO SHOULD USE THIS PRODUCT?

Suitable for people who can be safely transferred using a metal hook-style hoist.

    HOW TO USE THIS PRODUCT

Always ensure the personโ€™s head is positioned at the top of the pad so it is supported when lifting in a reclined position. When lifting in a seated position, the sling does not provide head support. When lowering the person into a chair, ensure they are comfortably positioned before disconnecting the webbing from the hoist. Once correctly seated, the webbing may be unhooked and the excess sling material tucked neatly beside the person for easier access during future transfers.

To remove the sling when the person returns to bed, log roll the person and fold the sling along the stitched sections during removal.

The rear of the sling includes non-slip Miracle Grip material to help hold the sling in position while seated. This helps prevent the sling from slipping down behind the back or creasing beneath the legs and buttocks.

Over time, the Miracle Grip material may wear due to repeated friction against the chair during transfers. Pelican can replace the Miracle Grip material if required.
