ABOUT THIS PRODUCT
The Walking Sling – Leg Sleeves Set is designed to fit over existing leg straps to provide additional padding and comfort. Most Walking Slings include padding on the groin straps, and these Sleeves can be added over the existing padding for increased protection.
They are compatible with the Walking Sling, Walking Sling – Adjustable, and other brands of walking slings.
In some facilities, the same Walking Sling may be used by multiple users of different sizes, and the standard leg strap padding may not provide sufficient coverage. The different Sleeve sizes can be used to improve comfort and protect the legs as required. Sleeves can be quickly fitted over the existing leg section padding.
A set consists of three pairs of Sleeves in the following sizes:
- 25cm / 10″
- 30cm / 12″
- 35cm / 14″

HOW TO USE THIS PRODUCT
Slide the Sleeves over the existing leg straps.

The Set consists of 3 pairs of sleeves:

Wash up to 80°C (176°F). Air dry in the shade, or tumble dry on a cool setting, ensuring the drum is cool. Ensure the product is dry before using or storing.
CLEANING METHOD – SEWN VERSION
Machine or hand wash .We recommend using a Pelican Washing Bag to help contain the product.
MAXIMUM WASHING TEMPERATURE
80°C / 176°F.
DETERGENT
Use a mild detergent. Do not use fabric softener. Fabric softener and excessive chlorine or bleach can damage any material, including Sling material. Slings should be continuously inspected for deterioration and discoloration, as this may be an early warning of possible failure.
DRYING METHOD
Air dry in the shade. Alternatively, tumble dry on a cool temperature and make sure the drum is cool.
CLEANING WARNING
Only use and store the product when it is dry.

When training, practice with an able-bodied colleague. If any procedure is not comfortable or is difficult and puts the carer or patient in a dangerous position, the participants should call out to stop the maneuver, recover and recommence. Never jeopardize your health by straining, twisting or being incorrectly positioned when manual handling. Always select the most appropriate equipment for the patient’s current condition and if in doubt, use mechanical equipment. Ask your Manual Handling adviser for individual guidance.
