WHAT IS THIS PRODUCT?

The Slide Board – Trolley is used in hospitals and care facilities when transferring people or patients between two beds in a supine position. This may be from a hospital bed to an operating table. It is made from a strong plastic that is wipeable for infection control. The Board has hand slots cut into the plastic to help when carrying the Board. The hand slots should not be used for actually transferring or moving a patient.

This product is 59″ (150cm) long.

BRIEF INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Consult you manual handling advisor or suitable therapist for how to use this product safely. Generally, log roll the patient using a draw sheet and insert the slide board underneath. Roll the patient back down, ensuring that their head and hips are on the board, as these are the heaviest parts of the body to transfer, and the legs can be slide across manually. Ensure the gap between the two beds is as small as possible, and the bed’s brakes are on. Transfer the patient using the recommended manual handling technique.
