ABOUT THIS PRODUCT
The Slide Board – Trolley is used in hospitals and care facilities to transfer patients between beds in a supine position, for example from a hospital bed to an operating table. It is made from durable, wipeable plastic for infection control. Hand slots are included to assist with carrying the board; these must not be used during patient transfer.
This product is 150cm / 59″ long.
WHO SHOULD USE THIS PRODUCT?
Suitable for situations where a patient needs to be transferred horizontally between beds.
HOW TO USE THIS PRODUCT
Consult a manual handling advisor or suitably qualified therapist before use.
Generally, log roll the patient using a draw sheet and position the slide board beneath them. Roll the patient back so their head and hips are supported on the board, as these are the heaviest areas. The legs may be guided across manually.
Ensure the gap between beds is minimized and that brakes are applied to both beds. Transfer the patient using approved manual handling techniques.
