WHAT IS THIS PRODUCT?

The Leg Abductor – Large is used after Hip Replacement operations to hold the legs apart when turning a patient in bed. For Infection Control, this product is also available in a medical grade vinyl material with heat sealed seams.

WHO IS THIS PRODUCT SUITABLE FOR?

This product is suitable for people who have had a hip replacement operation.

BRIEF INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

The legs are held firmly and comfortably in place in the cut-out grooves on both sides of the abductor by 2″ Hook & Loop Tape straps.

WHAT IS THIS PRODUCT MADE FROM?

Foam, material.

This product must not be used as a restraint. It is only for use under the observation of a therapist.

Foam: Remove the foam and rinse in water.
Cover: Machine or hand wash the cover.

MAXIMUM WASHING TEMPERATURE

Foam: Warm.
Cover: 80°C / 176°F.

DETERGENT

Use a mild detergent. Do not use fabric softener.

DRYING METHOD

Foam: Air dry in the shade.
Cover: Air dry in the shade. Alternatively, tumble dry on a cool temperature and make sure the drum is cool.

CLEANING WARNING

Only use and store the product when it is dry.
