ABOUT THIS PRODUCT
The James Leg Elevator – High is a leg support cushion designed to elevate the leg. It is 100% heat-sealed for infection control purposes.
The patient’s leg rests on a convoluted surface. These contours may assist with circulation and may help reduce the risk of deep vein thrombosis (DVT).
WHO SHOULD USE THIS PRODUCT?
The Leg Elevator has been used in orthopedic wards for many years to help reduce or manage swelling in the lower limb.
HOW TO USE THIS PRODUCT
Place the cushion under the leg. The foot will be elevated approximately 40cm / 16″, depending on the patient’s leg length. The side walls help prevent the leg from rolling off the cushion. A rolled towel may be placed under the knee if the leg requires flexion or additional support.
