WHAT IS THIS PRODUCT?

The Bed Step – One Step is designed to help Patients get into and out of bed. This is helpful when the bed will not go down low enough. This may be due to the design of the bed, particularly if an overlay pressure mattress is fitted to the bed, making it higher.

By using the Step, a Patient will be able to get in and out of bed more easily. The Step can also be used for getting on or off ambulance trolleys.

The Step has a wipeable medical grade, heat sealed vinyl cover, with a handy carry loop on one corner. It has Non-Slip Material on the bottom to help prevent it from moving.

There are two heights are available:

  • One Step (this product) – A 4″ block
  • Two Steps – A two level 4″ and 8″ block

The decision to use the One or Two Steps will depend on the height of the bed.

WHO IS THIS PRODUCT SUITABLE FOR?

Suitable for people who need a step to get into bed.

BRIEF INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Place the Step alongside the bed so that when the Patient is standing facing the head of the bed, they can step onto it. The person may even have a hand on the mattress to steady themselves. Ensure their heel is in front of the marked line. The Step is large enough to have two feet on it.
