WHAT IS THIS PRODUCT?
The Thermoregulating (TR) T-shirt – Long Sleeve contains micro-encapsulated Phase Change Materials (PCMs), and was first developed to help astronauts maintain their body temperature. The material should help to ‘keep cool people warm’ and ‘keep warm people cool’. The material allows heat from the body to escape, or if the body is getting cold, it traps the warmth. Many people who are undergoing cancer treatment such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy may benefit from this material.
WHO IS THIS PRODUCT SUITABLE FOR?
These TR T-Shirts are specially designed for people who may not be able to control their body temperature when sleeping or during the day.
This may be due to a number of reasons that may include:
- Reaction to medication
- Menopause
- A personal condition such as a form of hyperhidrosis, etc.
This product may also help some people with a proprioceptive condition, including sensory processing disorder, autism, or ADHD. Refer to the sizing guide to choose a loose fit or a tighter fit. A tighter fit may benefit people who like to have some pressure to give them a secure feeling. Please select carefully as due to infection control, we are unable to offer returns on this product.
BRIEF INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
The T-shirts can be worn under other clothing, or worn on their own like a normal T-shirt.

The Thermoregulating material is a delicate material that wears out more quickly than other materials. See the Important Information tab for more information.
When working out the chest sizing, we laid the T-shirts down flat and measured across side to side. We then placed our arms inside the shirts and stretched them out to get a reasonable pressure that would be comfortable to wear. This is not a scientific measurement, but it does give an indication of what can be expected in terms of the amount of stretch. A tighter fit may benefit people who like to have some pressure to give them a secure feeling.
To Measure for Size: To select the right size T-shirt based on chest measurements, it’s important to have the individual stand naturally with their arms down by their sides. Then, using a measuring tape, wrap it around the fullest part of their chest, ensuring it passes over the shoulder blades and under the armpits. The tape should be snug but not overly tight.
This chest measurement serves as a guideline for choosing the appropriate size from the size chart.
The size you select may also depend on if you want a loose or tighter fit for sensory reasons. Alternatively, if there is a T-shirt that you have worn comfortably before, lay it flat and measure across side to side, then double that measurement and compare it to our size chart.

CLEANING METHOD
Machine or hand wash.

DETERGENT
Use a mild detergent. Do not use fabric softener.
DRYING METHOD
Air dry in the shade. Alternatively, tumble dry on a cool temperature and make sure the drum is cool.
CLEANING WARNING
Only use and store the product when it is dry.
General Warning: Be aware that this item may mask the effects if someone does get an infection. Always check with a medical therapist that this item will be suitable.
Material Warning: The Thermoregulating material is a delicate material that wears out more quickly than other materials. The wear can be due to normal use, as well as the washing process.The material can stretch and distort, so the material opens between the rows of the Thermoregulating cells. This looks ugly and will increase in size over time. Despite the damage, the Thermoregulating qualities should still help people control their temperature. To help prevent this damage, always use a large washing bag, such as the Pelican Washing Bag, when washing the product. The washing bag is designed to help protect the material from getting damaged with other items in the washing machine, and from being directly next to the drum and agitators in the machine. Remember that except for the Thermoregulating Slippers, the material should never be directly next to the person’s body when in use. The person should never lie directly on or under the Thermoregulating Material, as this can damage the material.
Warranty: All Thermoregulating products have a 3 month repair or replacement warranty, providing the product is washed in a washing bag.
