    ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

The ResQmat is an evacuation mat used to assist in evacuating a person from a building, including movement down stairs. Similar to a fire extinguisher, it is typically stored hanging on a wall or in a cupboard.

People can be slid down stairs during an evacuation.

Before ordering, please review the full range of ResQ products listed at the bottom of this page to ensure you select the most appropriate product for your needs and circumstances. If you require assistance, please contact us.

Key features of this product include:

ResQmat The ResQmat fully encloses the evacuee and includes four sets of wide hook & loop tape, allowing arms to be positioned inside or outside.
ResQmat The head pillow is designed to provide impact absorption during stair descent.

ResQmat Long towing straps at both top and bottom allow rescuers to pull without excessive bending. The orange strap assists lifting around the feet and supports users up to 6โ€™4โ€.

Manual Handling Warning: Products designed to help with manual handling of people must be used correctly to avoid injury to the Carer, patient or user. We recommend practising in a safe environment with an able-bodied colleague. Immediately cease any manual handling movement at the first sign of risk or discomfort. Use the most appropriate piece of equipment. Complete a suitable risk assessment before using, and seek assistance where necessary. It is important to remember that manual handling products are designed to assist, they are not designed to take the place of manual handling.

How to thread a buckle: It is vital that a buckle is threaded on the webbing strap correctly. Incorrect threading will not hold the webbing correctly and the webbing will slip and may cause injury to both the Carer and patient.
