When women in late pregnancy lie supine, the uterus compresses the inferior vena cava and aorta. This reduces maternal cardiac output, causing supine hypotension, and affects placental blood flow.
Gravity helps displace the uterus to alleviate this aortocaval compression. An effective way of assisting uterine displacement is through the use of the Pregnancy Pelvic Tilt Wedge under the patient’s right hip.

HOW TO USE THIS PRODUCT
Place the Wedge under the patient’s right hip to tilt the uterus to the left while maintaining the patient’s comfort. You can place an extra wedge or pillow under the patient’s uterus on the opposite side for further comfort and support.
