ABOUT THIS PRODUCT
The Dressing Clips are designed to help people pull their trousers up without bending down. Some people can lose balance when their trousers are around their ankles if they lean too far forward after using the toilet. The Dressing Clips help reduce this risk by allowing trousers and underpants to be pulled up more easily without bending over.
Also available is the Sock On, which helps people put on socks without bending down.
WHO SHOULD USE THIS PRODUCT?
The Dressing Clips are suitable for people who have difficulty bending over to pull up their pants after using the toilet.
HOW TO USE THIS PRODUCT
The upper clip is attached to the person’s shirt or jumper. It can be placed inside the front opening of a button-up shirt, or to the front of a t-shirt or shirt pocket. Next, attach the lower clip to the waistband of the trousers. It may also be helpful to attach underwear as well. This should be done while standing in front of the toilet prior to sitting down. After standing up, gently pull the connecting cord to bring up the underpants and trousers until they can be reached by hand. Before pulling them up, ensure the person is not standing on the trousers. Keeping the feet closer together can help prevent the trousers from slipping down again.
Once the trousers are within reach, release only the underpants from the clip. This allows them to be adjusted correctly into position. The shirt can then be tucked in before the trousers are fully pulled up. After the shirt is tucked in and the trousers are secured, both clips can be removed.
PRODUCT MATERIALS
Cord, plastic clips.
Note: The plastic clips used in the demonstration photos are an older model. A newer clip is now used, and the appearance may vary from time to time, but the function remains the same.
