ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

The Anti-Slide Mattress Sticks are designed to help prevent a mattress from slipping on a bed base. Some modern hospital bed designs do not include a dedicated mechanism to prevent mattress movement when patients sit on the edge of the bed. Mattress slippage may also occur during patient repositioning.

WHO SHOULD USE THIS PRODUCT?

Suitable for situations where a mattress is at risk of slipping when a person gets into or out of bed.

HOW TO USE THIS PRODUCT

Lift the mattress and place one Stick on each side of the bed base near the outer edge, aligned with the area used when sitting on the bed.

Once weight is applied to the bed, the Sticks help reduce mattress movement. If additional stability is required, place a further two Sticks at the head and foot ends of the bed base.

The Anti-Slide Mattress Sticks can be particularly useful when a ResQsheet is in use under the mattress. When making the bed, linen should be tucked over the Anti-Slide Mattress Sticks. In the event of an evacuation, the Sticks may remain in place and will not impede the evacuation process.

CLEANING WARNING

Only use and store the product when it is dry. Test your cleaning chemicals on a discreet area to make sure it will not damage the material.

If a wet Anti-Slide Mattress Stick is placed under a mattress, the anti-slide qualities will not work and the mattress can still slide and it will take a long time to dry out. Anything damp left under a mattress may allow mildew or other bacteria to breed.

Ensure the use of the product does not interfere with the bed or mattress’s normal working when raising or lowering the bed.
