WHAT IS THIS PRODUCT?
The Pelican Hand Pad can be used for exercising, or helping contracted hands. It may be possible to use as a diversion therapy.
Patients can be given the hand pad to try to build up hand and finger muscles in contracted hands. As the hand pad comes in two different grades of foam, a patient can progress to the harder foam when they are stronger.
WHO IS THIS PRODUCT SUITABLE FOR?
Suitable for people needing to exercise contracted hands.
BRIEF INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
For contracted hands, place the hand pad between the patient’s inside palm and fingers. This may relieve pressure and prevent damage to the palm from finger nails.
For stroke patients, the Pelican Hand Pad can be used to rest a swollen hand.
